A respected Singaporean entrepreneur, Bernard founded Unisteel Technology in 1988 and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 2012. When SFS Group acquired Unisteel, he continued to guide the company, holding various senior leadership positions including Head of its Electronics Division until 2014.

Bernard served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Singapore Economic Development Board from 2006 to 2008.
