Boon Hwee is a senior corporate leader and entrepreneur with a distinguished record in Asia and the United States.

His career has seen him hold leading positions in some of the world’s most dynamic companies including Hewlett-Packard (Managing Director, Singapore 1985-1990) and Temasek Holdings Plc (Director 1996-2010). He has served as Chairman at many of Asia’s leading companies including SingTel (1986-2001), the Wuthelam Group (1991-2000), Singapore Airlines Ltd (2001 -2005) and DBS Bank (2006-2010).

Boon Hwee is currently active as Managing Partner and Chairman of Altara Ventures Pte. Ltd. and holds positions on the board of a number of companies including GIC, and Agilent Technologies Inc. He is the Chairman of the Securities Industry Council of Singapore.

He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London and gained an MBA from Harvard Business School.
