Imraan has more than 16 years of experience across the M&A Advisory and Private Equity spheres, focusing primarily on Asia. Prior to Rippledot, Imraan was Fund Manager of a US$200m Private Equity Fund focused on Global Emerging Market FIG and Fintech investments. A member of the global investment committee, Imraan sat on the boards of several portfolio companies and headed the firm’s activities in the Asia region from its Singapore office. An emerging markets enthusiast, Imraan also spent 4 years in Kazakhstan at one of the region’s premier principal investment groups, completing private equity investments, exits and restructurings across a range of sectors in Central Asia. In the early part of his career in London, Imraan specialised in advising on upstream Oil & Gas M&A transactions in the North Sea and MENA regions, for a variety of large and mid-cap clients, looking to rationalise their portfolios by divesting mature assets.

Imraan read Economics at Cambridge and holds an MBA from London Business School.
