When Director Ravi Ravulaparthi, a veteran in the technology, media and telecommunications sector, decided to join Rippledot in 2015, it had been the people who had attracted him most.

He’d worked for years in large organisations and international banks, but he was seeking something different. “I knew the quality of the team; I knew Rippledot was a nimble organisation run by really smart, professional people,” he said. People with great instincts with a penchant for executing deals. “That was the core appeal,” said Ravi.

For Director Harsh Rajpal, another industry veteran, this time in food and agriculture, it was Rippledot’s unique and effective model that had lured him in. “Rippledot’s model is all about going deep with the client,” said Harsh, who’s been with the company since 2017. “We take a consulting-based approach to M&A, rather than a broking approach. It’s a more challenging approach, but where, I believe, the industry should be headed.” It also happens to be an approach that’s proven extremely successful.

If you desire to be a small cog in a huge machine, doing work that’s inconsequential or redundant, we’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Rippledot prides itself on being a lean and flat organisation. “That means a tremendous amount of exposure and a lot of responsibility,” says Analyst Toh Yi Wei, who interned with Rippledot in 2016 before joining the firm a year later. Interns and new graduates are expected to hit the ground running at Rippledot. “It keeps things interesting and meaningful,” said Yi Wei.

Being part of an intimate team also means working closely with experienced senior executives, all of whom are ready to mentor and share their expertise. “You’re constantly learning,” said Associate Roger Koh, who joined Rippledot in 2016. “With the small team setting, it’s very personal, you learn a lot from experienced mentors.
